Veterinary inspection is a procedure carried out on goods that require inspection upon entry into the European Union. The inspection is carried out by the Agriculture and Food Board at the border point of the European Union, where the goods enter the European Union from a third country. During the veterinary inspection at the border crossing point, the veterinary inspection officer performs a document, identity, and physical check of the consignment.<\/p>\n

Goods that must be subject to veterinary inspection when imported are, for example, animals, products of animal origin (including products containing a small amount of ingredients of animal origin), seeds, seedlings, used agricultural machinery, etc.<\/p>\n
