We do recommend it, because all carriers (including us) are working under international conventions (CMR Convention, Hague–Visby, Mo Montreal Convention etc depending on the type of transportation) and Estonian legislation. Usual Convencion´s protection do not cover accidents that have taken place during on and unloadings by senders and receivers. Also there are many possible situations in which the carrier is not responsible because the emergence of damage does not depend on the actions of the carrier. For example a fire aboard the ship, natural catastrophe and robbery.

Whole risk insurance will compensate all such damages. It covers both the shipment´s value and the transportation costs. Which is why we do recommend it. In case you would like us to form the insurance policy please inform your freight forwarder what does the shipment contain, how is it packed and is the shipment new or used?

• Whole insurance is valid if ETS Logistics OÜ has sent written confirmation about forming the policy, insurance and policy fee invoices have been to sent and paid by customer.
