ETS Logistics – a leading logistics company for international shipments

ETS Logistics is a logistics company and customs agency specialising in business-to-business shipments that start or end outside the European Union. These are shipments where, in addition to the transport, customs clearance of the goods is also required.

We organise road transport, sea transport, air transport and multimodal transport. ETS Logistics is a customs agency certified by the Estonian Tax and Customs Board (EMTA) and an authorised reseller of PZU cargo insurance.

Our strength lies in combining an international partner network with customs expertise. International transport, customs services, cargo insurance and logistics — the company offers the option of managing the entire non-EU transport process through a single accountable partner.

Our story

Logistics companies in Estonia offer different solutions. ETS Logistics began with the aim of offering Estonian exporters and importers a clear, all-in-one solution specifically for organising international freight transport. The focus from the outset was on shipments that start or end outside the European Union, where, in addition to transport, correct customs clearance is critical.

Over the years we have expanded our services, and the transport modes we offer now include road, sea, air and multimodal transport. Customs service also developed in parallel into one of the company’s standalone core services. Today, we have been operating as a customs agency for over 10 years.

Today we operate as a logistics company and customs agency, where international freight transport, customs services and cargo insurance are combined into a single end-to-end process. Our customers are mainly manufacturing, industrial and trading companies and public-sector institutions in Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Norway.

Membership

ETS Logistics is a member of the WCAworld global partner network. WCA brings together independent logistics companies in more than a hundred countries and gives us access to trusted partners for organising international cargo flows.

Membership gives us access to vetted partners and a shared set of working principles across different countries. This supports the organisation of non-EU shipments in situations where local representation, on-the-ground market knowledge and responsive collaboration are required.

Vision

To be a clear, recognised partner in non-EU freight transport and customs services for companies and public-sector institutions in Estonia, Finland, Sweden and Norway that operate on international markets.

Mission

We organise non-EU shipments by combining international freight transport, customs services and cargo insurance into one complete process. Our aim is to support the sales activities of exporting companies on foreign markets and the procurement processes of companies and public-sector institutions, by ensuring correctly organised freight transport and customs clearance.

Why us

What sets us apart is that we bring international freight transport, customs services and cargo insurance under a single end-to-end solution and focus clearly on non-EU shipments. For non-EU routes, we do not treat transport as a stand-alone service — we manage the whole process, from planning and the choice of transport mode through to customs clearance and arrival at the destination.

We work daily on non-EU routes and partner with long-standing international companies. The customer gets a single accountable partner through whom international freight transport and the related customs services are coordinated.

We don’t just put together quotes — we support the growth of exporting customers on foreign markets and the procurement processes of companies and public-sector institutions.

Sustainability

International freight transport has a direct impact on the environment, which is why we take sustainability principles into account when choosing the transport mode and route. Where possible, we recommend that customers favour sea transport and multimodal solutions, which allow emissions to be reduced compared with road transport alone.

We optimise transport volumes and consolidate shipments to reduce empty runs and unnecessary transhipments. We work with partners who follow the applicable environmental standards and who can, where required, provide CO₂ emissions data for the specific shipment based on the transport mode and route used.

Projects

In addition to regular shipments, we handle project-based shipments involving oversized, heavy or special-conditions cargo. We have supported the construction of roads, tram lines, viaducts and buildings, the relocation of production lines and the delivery of equipment to challenging destinations. We also handle shipments where customs procedures and the destination country’s regulations require separate preparation and coordination.

Every project starts with a thorough analysis: we map out the risks, the schedule, the technical requirements and any possible restrictions. We put together a detailed action plan, bring in the right partners and coordinate the international freight transport and customs services throughout the whole process.

We support

ETS Logistics supports, within its means, selected initiatives and activities that contribute to the development of Estonian society and the life of the community in Lääne-Virumaa.
We have supported initiatives related to sport and young people, including football, basketball and sailing, as well as international ventures involving Estonians.
Today we support the Rakvere JK Tarvas women’s team. Among the ventures we have supported is the Uhhuduur expedition, in which Hannes Hanso and Mart Kuusk became the first Estonians to row across the Atlantic Ocean in the Kena Reina.

Our team

Our team is made up of logisticians and customs declarants with hands-on experience in handling shipments to and from outside the European Union. We operate across road, sea, air and multimodal transport, where every shipment requires familiarity with the regulations, customs procedures, and the requirements of the country of origin and destination.

At the heart of the team’s work are a clearly managed transport process and the coordination of responsibility through a single partner. In day-to-day work we follow Lean management principles and a standardised workflow to ensure a transparent and systematic process throughout the whole transport chain.
