Road transport is a fast and flexible solution. We focus on business-to-business (B2B) road transport on routes where the country of origin or destination is outside the European Union and where the shipment also requires customs clearance. We arrange shipments between Estonia and non-EU countries such as Norway, the United Kingdom, Türkiye, Switzerland, and Ukraine. We also operate as a customs agency, enabling customs clearance and related processes as part of a single freight service. We carry standard goods, dangerous goods (ADR), and oversized and heavy cargo. We carry out road transport with semi-trailers, mega and jumbo trailers, and tail-lift trucks. For oversized cargo, we use specialised trailers. We arrange full-truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments and, where necessary, express and special transports.
Our service covers the entire organisation of road transport – route and transport mode planning, selection of trucks and trailers, cargo space calculations, customs clearance, and consultation. We operate regularly to non-EU destinations, including the United Kingdom, Türkiye, Ukraine, Norway, and other locations subject to customs requirements.
We carry out road transport for standard goods, dangerous goods (ADR), and oversized cargo. Road transport includes customs clearance when needed, including the opening and closing of transit (T1). The transport process is coordinated from loading to destination, and we keep the client informed throughout.
Our road transport service grew out of the need to offer Estonian exporters and importers a clear and managed solution for non-EU shipments. We approach road transport as a process where, in addition to transport and cargo insurance, customs formalities also play an important role. For us, logistics is not a standalone service, but part of the client’s supply chain.
Over the years, we have expanded our road transport capabilities from full and less-than-truckload shipments to the transport of dangerous goods (ADR), oversized cargo, and express transports. Our service portfolio also includes customs clearance, including transit procedures, and cargo insurance. Our strength is practical experience with shipments to non-EU countries, where every route and shipment requires an individual approach.
Today we serve industrial, manufacturing, and trading companies as well as public-sector bodies that need a reliable and experienced partner for their non-EU road transport solutions. We don’t just arrange transport – we help manage the entire transport process from start to finish.
We work with you to choose a suitable road transport solution based on the type, dimensions, weight, and time-critical nature of the cargo. We take into account the specifics of the route, border crossings, and customs processes, so that the transport is technically feasible and manageable.
We primarily carry out non-EU road transport, including both inbound to Estonia and outbound from Estonia. We arrange Full Truck Load (FTL) and Less Than Truckload (LTL) shipments on regular routes, taking into account the dimensions, weight, and time-criticality of the cargo. We carry standard goods, dangerous goods (ADR), and oversized and heavy cargo. We carry out road transport with semi-trailers, mega and jumbo trailers, tail-lift trucks, and flatbed trailers, depending on the nature of the cargo.
Acting as a customs agency, our service includes customs clearance when needed, including the opening and closing of transit (T1). The table below lists the most frequently used road transport destinations together with indicative transit times. For a specific price and schedule, we always base our quote on the specific route and the specifics of the shipment.
| Destination market | Main regions | Origin or destination | Service type | Estimated transit time* |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Türkiye | Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Adana | All of Estonia | FTL / LTL / ATR / special transport | ~7–14 days |
| United Kingdom | London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Leeds | All of Estonia | FTL / LTL / ATR / special transport | ~5–10 days |
| Norway | Oslo, Bergen, Trondheim, Stavanger, Kristiansand | All of Estonia | FTL / LTL / ATR / special transport | ~3–7 days |
| Ukraine | Kyiv, Lviv, Dnipro, Odesa, Kharkiv | All of Estonia | FTL / LTL / ATR / special transport | ~5–14 days |
* Estimated transport times are indicative and depend on the route, border crossings, seasonality, and customs and transit processes.
We carry out non-EU road transport – both imports into Estonia and exports from Estonia. We arrange full and less-than-truckload shipments (FTL/LTL) and offer special solutions for time-critical transports. We carry standard goods, dangerous goods (ADR), and oversized and heavy cargo.
We help arrange communication with foreign shippers and consignees. Acting as a customs agency, our service includes, on request, the preparation of customs declarations and the opening and closing of transit (T1).

We primarily carry out non-EU road transport, both inbound to Estonia and outbound from Estonia. We arrange full and less-than-truckload shipments (FTL/LTL) and also offer special solutions for time-critical, dangerous (ADR), and oversized cargo.
Below we answer frequently asked questions, from finding suitable equipment and calculating cargo space to documentation and customs processes. If you don’t find an answer or your shipment is still being planned, feel free to contact us. When necessary, we provide an indicative estimate and practical advice even when not all input data is yet final.
The choice of the right road transport solution depends primarily on the volume, weight, dimensions, and nature of the cargo. Full-truckload (FTL) is suitable when the shipment fills a large portion of the truck or when separate cargo space is needed. Less-than-truckload (LTL) is suitable for smaller shipments where cargo space is shared with other consignments and transit time is not critical.
Special transport is required when the cargo is dangerous (ADR), oversized, heavy, or time-critical. For special transports, in addition to the characteristics of the cargo, we also take into account the specifics of the route, border crossings, and local restrictions. For each shipment, we assess which combination of FTL, LTL, or special transport is technically feasible and realistic.
Our road transport services are aimed only at business-to-business (B2B) shipments. We arrange shipments where the sender and recipient of the goods are legal entities and where there is a commercial sales transaction that requires customs clearance, transport documents, and professional process management.
We do not offer road transport services to private clients. For shipments and relocations involving private individuals, we recommend turning to companies that specialise in international shipping and moving services for private individuals.
We arrange the road transport of dangerous goods in accordance with ADR requirements. This includes, among other things, chemicals, batteries, energy storage units, and equipment containing dangerous substances. For ADR transport, additional requirements apply to goods classification, packaging, marking, and documentation, and the suitability of each shipment is assessed separately before arranging the transport. Where necessary, we help clarify whether the road transport of specific goods is permitted and under what conditions.
In addition, we arrange the road transport of oversized and heavy cargo on a project basis. Oversized transports require assessment of route suitability, permit procedures, and the use of specialised trailers based on the dimensions and weight of the cargo. Each oversized transport is planned individually, and its indicative price and schedule are specified after the official permits and technical requirements have been clarified.
Non-EU road transport is based on correct goods and transport documents. Typically, a commercial invoice and a packing list, prepared by the client, are required. If you have no experience preparing these documents, we will help with their preparation and verification. The international transport document CMR is also required, which we issue when needed, or which the client can prepare using their own form.
In addition, for non-EU transport, export or import declarations are required, and, depending on the route, also a transit document (e.g. T1). On request, we arrange these documents on the client’s behalf, as we also operate as a customs agency. In certain cases, a certificate of origin, an A.TR movement certificate, or other goods-specific evidence required for customs clearance is also necessary.
For dangerous goods (ADR), a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is required and, where necessary, a Dangerous Goods Declaration (DGD) and other goods-specific documents required for the handling and transport of dangerous goods.
The data in the documents must match the actual goods and transaction, as deficiencies or inaccuracies may cause delays at the border or in customs.
We recommend starting to plan non-EU road transport as early as possible, preferably before the goods are finished and loaded onto the truck. For non-EU shipments, customs processes and document verification are added to the road transport process, which affect the schedule and feasibility of the transport chain.
Goods can only be moved out of or into the European Union customs territory if all required documentation (e.g. commercial invoice, packing list, and transport documents) is correctly prepared. Early planning helps avoid time pressure and unexpected additional costs, and ensures that the transport is procedurally correct throughout the chain.
In intra-EU road transport, the goods move within a single customs territory, which means that customs clearance is not carried out and the transport process is generally simpler and more time-predictable. For example, cargo transported from Tartu to Tallinn can move in essentially the same process as a shipment going from Estonia to Spain – both are intra-EU shipments.
Non-EU road transport adds customs processes, including export and import customs clearance and, where necessary, transit (T1). Customs procedures are also required when there is no physical barrier or checkpoint at the border, for example between Norway and Sweden or between Germany and Switzerland. Goods can leave or enter the European Union customs territory only on the basis of correctly prepared documentation. This means more stages, greater attention to the content of documents, and tighter process management, so that the transport is correct and runs without interruption.
